The client: Specialist Retail Outlet. The client is a retail business, which includes an online shop, offering a diverse range of swimwear, accessories and training aids.
The brief Originally the client (founded in 1984) was a swim school and a retail outlet, the business owner wanted to investigate the feasibility of selling the swimming school division of the business and focusing solely on the retail division.
Birkett & Co’s Approach Following a consultation with the business owner, Birkett & Co set about assisting the owner to decide on an equitable exit from the swimming school division which would allow her to fully concentrate on the busy retail division of the business. Once a course of action was agreed, Birkett & Co mediated between the business owner and the buyer to ensure a smooth and successful transition of swimming school division. Now solely trading as a retail outlet and online shop (www.sos-swim.co.uk), Birkett & Co provide on-going support to the book keeper at the client company, helping with a host of financial aspects such as payroll and year end accounts. The Outcome the client successfully sold . Business owner can now devote all energies towards the thriving retail division of the business, ultimately aiming to boost sales.
